My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that effective computer science education should combine strong theoretical foundations with practical, real-world application. In teaching Mobile Development, my goal is to help students understand not only how to build mobile applications, but also why certain architectural, design, and implementation decisions are made. I approach teaching as an active and student-centered process. While core concepts are introduced through structured lectures, I place strong emphasis on hands-on learning through labs, coding exercises, and project-based work. Students are encouraged to experiment, make mistakes, and iteratively improve their solutions, as this process reflects how professional mobile software is developed. Through this approach, students gain confidence in reading documentation, debugging issues, and adapting to evolving mobile platforms. In this course, I will be focusing on essential technical principles such as application architecture, user interface design, lifecycle management, data persistence, networking, and performance considerations. I also introduce industry best practices, including version control, modular design, testing, and code readability. By incorporating real-world case studies and examples from production systems, I help students connect theoretical concepts with practical challenges encountered in professional environments. I am committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging in discussion. Recognizing that students have diverse technical backgrounds, I aim to scaffold learning by gradually increasing complexity and offering guidance where needed. Finally, I view teaching as an evolving practice. I continuously update course content to reflect changes in mobile technologies and development tools, and I actively seek feedback to improve my teaching methods. My aim is to equip students with the foundational knowledge, practical skills, and professional mindset necessary to succeed in mobile development and related areas of computer science. My research interests lie at the intersection of mobile application development, software engineering, and applied computing. I am particularly interested in research that bridges academic theory with real-world mobile systems, focusing on improving the quality, performance, security, and maintainability of mobile applications. A central theme of my research interest is mobile application architecture and design patterns. I am interested in studying how different architectural approaches—such as layered architectures, MVVM-based designs, and modular systems—impact scalability, testability, and long-term maintenance in mobile applications. This research aims to provide empirical insights that can guide both academic curricula and industry best practices. I am also interested in security and privacy in mobile systems, particularly in areas such as secure data storage, authentication mechanisms, and protection of user data. Given the widespread use of mobile applications in sensitive domains such as finance, this research seeks to identify common vulnerabilities and propose practical mitigation strategies that can be integrated into mobile development workflows.
