Carine Lahoud-Tatar is a political scientist, specialist in the Arab world, and jurist in international law. A graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies, she is currently an associate professor and head of the doctoral program at the Institute of Political Science at Saint Joseph University in Beirut (Lebanon). Her research focuses on social mobilizations and Islamism within the monarchies of the Gulf and the Levant.
