A dentist and academic with more than two decades of experience in private clinical practice and university teaching. I hold a doctorate in dental surgery since 2000; I specialized in Periodontology and Oral Pathology. In 2019, I obtained my Master's in Biology of Materials of the Oral Environment. Since 2011, I have been a clinical instructor in the oral-medicine and radiology service of the Faculty of Dental Medicine at Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ), where I supervise fourth- and fifth-year students and give lectures for second-, third-, and fourth-year students. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I play an essential role in tutoring students and supervising their academic portfolios. Between 2011 and 2022, I was associate editor of the International Arab Journal of Dentistry (IAJD), the journal of the Association of Arab Dental Faculties, which became Scopus-indexed in 2022. Currently, my research focuses on the pathogenesis and diagnostic methods of oral lichen planus, with a particular interest in the role of salivary cytokines. Based in Dekwaneh, in the Metn, I am the mother of two children. I continue to practice dentistry in addition to my position at the faculty.
