Professor of economics at the Lebanese University between 1979 and 2017, of human-resources management at USJ since 1999, and of economics and financial management at USEK between 1979 and 2022, and associate professor at Paris 2 University between 2001 and 2003. Author of 18 works on Lebanese and Arab economics and finance. Author of 92 studies in the form of articles, lectures, and communications at scientific colloquia, in Lebanon and abroad. 73 doctoral theses were defended under his supervision, at the Lebanese University, Saint Joseph University of Beirut, the Holy Spirit University - Kaslik, Paris V University (Sorbonne), the University of Metz, Francois Rabelais University (Tours), Diderot University (Paris VII), and CNAM University (Paris). Director of the Institute of Social Sciences 2 (UL) between 1993 and 1999. Director of the Lebanon section of the CEDIMES Institute (Center for the Study of International Development and Economic and Social Movements) between 1993 and 2024. Decorated with the 'Academic Palms of the French Republic' in 2004.
