Josiane Helou is the Coordinator of the Confucius Institute at Saint Joseph University of Beirut, where she leads communication, academic coordination, and community outreach. She works closely with Lebanese and Chinese partners to promote Chinese language learning and strengthen educational and cultural cooperation.

She holds a Master's degree in Information and Communication from Saint Joseph University of Beirut and a Bachelor's degree in Library and Information Science from the Lebanese University. Her Master's research focused on the communication strategy of cultural institutions, deepening her expertise in cultural communication and audience engagement in multilingual environments.

With a background in journalism, communication, education, and cultural mediation, Josiane has dedicated her career to making knowledge and culture accessible. Her professional experience spans library management, educational and cultural content development, digital communication, cultural programming, and event coordination, allowing her to develop strong expertise in strategic communication, intercultural collaboration, and community engagement. She believes that education, language learning, and cultural exchange are essential tools for fostering mutual understanding and building lasting connections between communities.

Away from work, Josiane enjoys photography, cinema, and reading literature from around the world. Alongside Lebanese, French, and English authors, she particularly enjoys discovering Chinese, Korean, and Japanese writers, as well as exploring books on personal growth and self-development. She believes that curiosity and lifelong learning are essential to personal growth and meaningful intercultural dialogue.
