Director of the Confucius Institute at Saint Joseph University of Beirut and Honorary Director of the Institute of Physiotherapy, Faculty of Medicine, Saint Joseph University of Beirut. 

Dr. Nisrine Lattouf, DPT, is an accomplished academic leader, educator, and researcher at Saint Joseph University of Beirut. With more than 20 years of experience in higher education, she has developed extensive expertise in academic leadership, administration, program development, and international collaboration.

She holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, a Master’s Degree in Osteopathy and Manual Therapy, and a Master’s Degree in Research, all from Saint Joseph University. Throughout her career, she has combined academic excellence with institutional leadership, contributing to educational development, research, professional advancement, and international cooperation. 

As Director of the Confucius Institute, Dr. Lattouf promotes Chinese language education, cultural exchange, and academic partnerships between Lebanon and China. She is also actively involved in regional and international academic networks, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across borders. Her areas of expertise include cross-cultural collaboration and intercultural dialogue, academic partnerships and international cooperation, higher education leadership and administration, program development and quality assurance, research supervision and mentorship, international program development, and physiotherapy education and professional advancement.

Dr. Lattouf believes in collaborative leadership, lifelong learning, and building meaningful bridges between cultures through education, dialogue, innovation, and mutual respect.

She is committed to fostering mutual understanding between cultures through education, language learning, and academic cooperation. She views cultural exchange as a powerful means of building meaningful connections and encouraging dialogue among diverse communities.

Among the many facets of Chinese culture, she particularly values its emphasis on education, perseverance, respect, and lifelong learning principles that closely align with her own academic and professional values.

Through the Confucius Institute's programs and activities, Dr. Lattouf seeks to promote intercultural awareness, global perspectives, and appreciation of cultural diversity. Her goal is to create opportunities for students, faculty members, and the wider community to engage in meaningful cultural and educational exchanges.

For Dr. Lattouf, directing the Confucius Institute in Lebanon is especially significant because Lebanon has historically served as a bridge between civilizations and cultures. The Institute contributes to strengthening educational and cultural ties between Lebanon and China while fostering mutual understanding, friendship, and collaboration between the two nations. 

In her free time, Dr. Lattouf enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and discovering new countries and cultures.

Her favorite Chinese Proverb is "learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere".
