Enseignant Profile

Following the Master's degree in Clinical Psychology conducted at the Louis Pasteur University Strasbourg I, I found myself even more passionate about the specificities of human suffering and especially that inherent in Lebanese society. I then decided to return to Lebanon to begin a Professional Master's degree in Educational Psychology as well as a PHD in Psychology at the Saint Joseph University in Beirut. At the same time, my diverse experience at APEG (Association pour la Protection de l’Enfant de la Guerre et de sa Famille) has allowed me to discover, since 2007 to this day, the complexity of human reality. I was able to intervene for 11 years as a clinical psychologist in the APEG medical-psychological center in Baalbeck while favoring individual and collective interventions in different regions of Lebanon including Klaaya in South Lebanon, Zahlé and Beirut. My interest in psychological expertise with minors who are victims of different types of abuse has become even more concrete within this association. Since then, I have been conducting psychological expertise as well as follow-ups with these children and their parents where appropriate, while maintaining close collaboration with juvenile judges. On the other hand, the liberal work initially based on the psychodynamic approach continues to inspire me and promote my reflections around our profession, which is so complex in terms of therapeutic alliance. My experience as a teacher in the psychology department of Saint Joseph University in Beirut since 2017, promotes the transmission of the passion I have for my profession, which continues to grow through and through student reflections.
