A biomedical engineer and doctor of medical informatics, my 15 years of experience in improving the quality and performance of healthcare have led me to explore the potential of medical informatics and artificial intelligence to improve patient care. My research areas are the design of clinical decision-support systems and the use of machine learning and expert systems for the detection and classification of adverse clinical events.
