Yara has an academic background in public health as well as extensive experience in the field of development and humanitarian aid within international NGOs and the Red Cross Movement. Her expertise in this field rests on managing monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (PMEAL), community engagement, and program development. Throughout her career, Yara has been heavily involved in strengthening and setting up PMEAL systems, leading evidence-based programs, and building team capacity. In addition, Yara has experience in teaching and facilitating trainings and courses to disseminate and share academic and practical concepts in a way suited to the target audiences.
