Professor Pascale Salameh is a Professor of Epidemiology at the Lebanese University, where she is affiliated with the Faculties of Pharmacy, Public Health, and Medical Sciences. She is also a leading expert in quality assurance and accreditation, serving as Quality Representative and a member of the Institutional Accreditation Committee at the Central Administration of the Lebanese University, as well as Coordinator of Program Accreditation across several faculties. She is a member of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), including its Quality Assurance and Policy Committees, and has previously served as Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Lebanese University and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the School of Pharmacy of the Lebanese American University. Professor Salameh has an outstanding international research profile in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, epidemiology, and public health. She was ranked among the top 0.05% of researchers worldwide in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences for 2019–2024 according to ScholarGPS, and among the top 0.3% of researchers worldwide in Public Health according to the Scopus/Elsevier rankings for 2023, 2024, and 2025. She has also been ranked first at the Lebanese University, first in Pharmacy, and second in Epidemiology and Public Health according to the AD Scientific Index for research productivity and citations. She is the Founder and Leader of the Institut National de Santé Publique, d’Épidémiologie Clinique et de Toxicologie (INSPECT-LB), an autonomous research group and a Predominant Scientific Member Organisation of the International Pharmaceutical Federation. INSPECT-LB was ranked first among Lebanese institutions in research according to the SCImago institutional rankings in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Her international academic and research collaborations include positions and appointments with Fraunhofer Gesellschaft in Berlin, the Lebanese American University, the University of Nicosia Medical School, Harvard School of Public Health, Paris Est University and Henri Mondor Hospital, Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, the University of Limoges, and the Université Libre de Bruxelles. She has also served as Chair of the Research Committee at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Lebanese University and has held several leadership positions in research and scientific committees at the Lebanese University and the Lebanese Order of Pharmacists. Beyond academia and research, Professor Salameh has contributed to national and international health and pharmaceutical initiatives. She is a member of several national committees at the Lebanese Ministries of Health and Higher Education, a member of the German Alliance for Global Health Research (GLOHRA), and a leader for Development Goal 13 (Policy) at the International Pharmaceutical Federation. She also serves on the Board of Pharmaceutical Sciences as a Predominant Scientific Member Organisation Chair and works as a consultant for pharmaceutical, research, and educational institutions. Her achievements have been recognized through numerous distinctions, including the Al Fassi Award 2025 for Lifetime Research and Academic Achievement from the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie, the Medal of the French National Academy of Pharmacy in 2017, multiple research and service awards from the Lebanese University between 2016 and 2025, and a service award from the Lebanese Order of Pharmacists in 2018. Professor Salameh holds a Diploma of Habilitation to Direct Research (HDR) and a PhD in Public Health and Intervention Epidemiology, as well as University Diplomas in Biostatistics, Pharmacokinetics, Infectious Diseases, Toxicology, and Medical Ethics. She also holds a Master of Public Health (MPH), a Doctor of Pharmacy (Clinical Pharmacy), and a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
