Justine Abi Saad is a Lebanese professional specializing in peacebuilding, conflict transformation, mediation, facilitation, and capacity building. She holds a B.A. in Medico-Social Service from the Lebanese University of Beirut, with a focus on social intervention and psychology, and is a certified mediator in intercultural, structural, and relational mediation from the Centre Professionnel de Médiation (CPM) at Saint Joseph University, in collaboration with the Institut Catholique de Paris. She has also completed training in peacebuilding strategies through the Designing Peace Project at the Civil Peace Academy in Germany. With extensive professional experience in Lebanon and across the EuroMed region, Justine has worked as a program manager, advisor, senior trainer, facilitator, mediator, and mentor. She served as Program Manager and Advisor for the Civil Peace Service at GIZ from 2013 to 2024, where she developed and implemented peace education and conflict transformation initiatives, supported educational institutions, conducted research on mediation and peacebuilding, and designed training programs for students, educators, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders. She currently works as a Protection Manager, focusing on data management, reporting, field-team support, and compliance. Her professional experience extends to numerous international and regional organizations, including SALTO Youth EuroMed, the European Commission, UNDP, Goethe-Institut, Search for Common Ground, and other civil society organizations. She has designed and delivered training programs on conflict transformation, mediation, negotiation, communication, leadership, social dialogue, human rights, and intercultural learning in Lebanon, Tunisia, Iraq, Jordan, Europe, and other EuroMed countries. Justine has also contributed to the development of educational and peacebuilding tools, including the Let’s Talk (Ta’o Ne7ke) board game on conflict transformation and peace education, facilitation guides, and training manuals. She is fluent in Arabic, English, and French and has more than two decades of professional experience in social work, education, peacebuilding, training, and program management.
