LI Zhuoyuan 李茁源 , Chinese language instructor

Li Zhuoyuan is a Mandarin language teacher from China currently teaching at the Confucius Institute in Lebanon. She holds a Master's degree in International Chinese Language Education from Fudan University and has 4 years teaching experience including university students, adolescents, and heritage learners across different proficiency levels from different countries. Her teaching encompasses communicative Chinese, HSK preparation, and culture-integrated language instruction.

Her approach to teaching is grounded in the belief that language is more than a means of communication, it is a way of understanding people, history, and society. She strives to create a classroom where linguistic competence and intercultural awareness develop together, encouraging students to engage with Chinese not only as a language but also as a living cultural tradition.

Teaching in Lebanon has been especially meaningful to her because it offers a unique opportunity to experience dialogue between two ancient civilizations. She values the curiosity, openness, and intellectual engagement of Lebanese students, whose questions often lead to rich conversations that connect Chinese and Lebanese perspectives.

Beyond the classroom, Zhuoyuan enjoys traveling, photography and dancing. She believes that every encounter with another culture broadens one's understanding of both the world and oneself. Her hope is that students leave her classes with practical language skills, confidence in cross-cultural communication, and a lasting curiosity about China and the wider world.
