FR150 years of USJ logo and slogan
“Our Roots, Our Future”
Inspired by the century-old banyan tree in the botanical garden of the Medical Sciences Campus, the USJ logo symbolizes the strength of our education, our sense of belonging to our Alma Mater, as well as our academic and socio-cultural diversity.
This tree stands tall, just like our University, with roots firmly anchored in the soil of Beirut and Lebanon, and branches spreading wide, much like our Alumni around the world.
Its branches, reaching towards the sky, reflect our dedication to innovation and progress.

To mark our 150th anniversary, a new logo, centered on the concept of roots growing into leaves, was created. The design symbolizes the University’s mission to guide individuals towards moral, intellectual and professional excellence, embodying the principle of Magis – striving for better and more.
