Preparedness of Lebanese dentists to deal with medical emergencies in their clinics: a national survey

Health-related emergencies can occur across a broad spectrum within dental clinics. The proper management of these emergencies is crucial in reducing morbidity and mortality rates, necessitating prompt and appropriate interventions. Dentists play a vital role in recognizing the signs and symptoms associated with various emergencies and must possess the necessary expertise to handle them effectively. As part of these efforts, the Higher Institute of Public Health (ISSP) is currently conducting a study in partnership with the School of Dental Medicine at the Lebanese University and the Lebanese Dental Association in Beirut to assess the preparedness of Lebanese dentists in managing medical emergencies that may arise within their clinics.
