This teaching unit is offered to third-year psychomotricity students. The cognitive-behavioral approach aims to modify undesirable behaviors and cognitions. Through this unit, students will be introduced to behavioral and cognitive theories in psychology and their application to certain disorders. Upon completion, students will be able to: • Position the cognitive-behavioral approach among different psychological approaches • Understand the behavioral approach and its principles • Understand the cognitive approach and its principles • Know the practical application of the cognitive-behavioral approach to certain disorders.
