This course is given in the First Semester of the Second Year of the Masters Program (M3), which is when students experience their first full-fledged simultaneous interpretation exercise. It thus focuses on introducing students to the techniques of simultaneous interpretation and teaching them how to prepare technical and specialized topics. Students learn to conduct targeted and interpretation-oriented research, acquire the relevant concepts, and prepare terminology lists, thus rendering the content as accurately and fluently as possible in the target language, while observing the relevant jargon.
