This mandatory course is part of the Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy and is offered in Semester 7 (M1). It has as a prerequisite the TU “Assessment principles in SLT” (Semester 6). After previously learning about the methodology of assessment and the choice of evaluation tools, this TU initiates the students on how to apply evidence-based practice during clinical decision-making. In fact, even though the main objective of the assessment is to set a proper diagnosis, its finality is to plan an adequate intervention plan based on scientific data. Given the abundance of resources, this could pose a challenge for SLTs. Throughout this course, the students will learn how to properly choose evaluation tools, objectives and intervention strategies in order to adapt their clinical practice to the needs of a specific patient
