This teaching unit will address issues related to: - Physiopathology of tongue thrust; Multifactorial etiology and the recurring connection with the presence of malocclusions; - Assessment and management of atypical swallowing in adults and children; - The primary treatment principals of atypical swallowing and orofacial myofunctional disorders. - Importance of the multidisciplinary approach.
