	Faculté de gestion et de management 4 crédits This course is divided into two complementary parts. The first part, Research Design, provides students with an understanding of the main research paradigms, processes and methods of research in the social sciences, particularly in management sciences, and how to gather empirical data to be able to draw conclusions about certain phenomena through qualitative and quantitative studies. The second part, entitled Structure and writing of a research dissertation, aims to guide Master's students in the modalities of writing a dissertation, by associating the general teaching of research methodology provided in the first part with active and practical learning by allowing them to approach the formulation of the research question, the collection of theoretical and empirical information, the planning and writing of the dissertation, and compliance with scientific writing standards. Students also explore the ethical aspects of research, experiment with various data collection methods, and prepare for the defense by making a preliminary draft of their work.
