This workshop invites students to expand their screenwriting practice through constraint-based exercises and new approaches to the script. Moving beyond the screenplay as a simple production tool, we will explore it as poem, score, collage, ritual, and architectural diagram. Weekly sessions combine theory and discussion with hands-on writing experiments — from image-based description and dialogue without place, to translation, collage, and collective authorship. By the end of the course, participants will have developed the tools to shape their own short film script, while also engaging in group writing and filming exercises. The emphasis is on process, exploration, and cultivating a flexible, inventive writing practice.
