Asma MJAES AZAR is Special Education teacher and holds a PHD in Educational Sciences. She is an associate professor and head of the Master's degree in Special Education (Orthopedagogy) at the Lebanese Institute of Educators at Saint Joseph University in Beirut.

She is the president of the Syndicate of Special Education Teachers in Lebanon since 2019.

She has held several positions of educational responsibility in NGOs and mainstream schools.

Her research, teaching, training and expertise work mainly aims at inclusive education, leadership for inclusive school, individualized educational program, program adaptation and modification for students with special educational needs, social and academic maladjustments, evaluation in special education and the profession of special education.
