CURRICULUM VITAE OF MSGR. ELIE HADDAD (in chronological order). Date and place of birth: January 28, 1960, Ablah-Bekaa-Lebanon. Entry into the Saint-Sauveur Convent: 1972. Intermediate and secondary studies: Saint-Sauveur Convent of Saida, Lebanon (1972-1979). Philosophical and theological studies: Holy Spirit University-Kaslik (1980-1983) and the Gregorian University of Rome (1983-1985) with a bachelor's degree in theology. Priestly ordination: in Lebanon on 9/8/1986. Legal studies in canon law and civil law: Lateran University in Rome (1985-1987) with a Master's degree, (1987-1989) with a degree equivalent to the DEA, and (1991-1994) with a doctorate in UTRIUSQUE IURIS defended on January 10, 1994. Rotal studies: at the tribunal of the Roman Rota, 1993-94. MINISTRY: parish priest in Saida (1990); chaplain of the International Movement of the Apostolate of Children (MIDADE) in Lebanon since 1994; president of the court of appeal of the Melkite Church since 1995; Superior of the Major Seminary of the Basilian Order of Saint-Sauveur (1995-2001); Chancellor of the Greek-Catholic Melkite Patriarchate since 2002; teacher of canon law at the Holy Spirit University (USEK) since 1995, at the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences (ISSR) since 1996, at the St. Paul Institute - Harissa since 1996, and at La Sagesse - Faculty of Canon Law since 1996 and the Faculty of Religious Sciences since 2002; moderator of several doctoral theses at USJ Faculty of Religious Sciences, at USEK, and at La Sagesse; Bishop of the Eparchy of Saida (Lebanon) of the Melkites, 2007. PUBLICATIONS include several books and articles on canon law, notably 'Episcopal Collegiality in the Eastern Churches' (USJ, 2004), 'The Ecumenical Aspects of the Code of Canons of the Eastern Catholic Churches' (La Sagesse, 2008), and numerous other articles and lectures on canon law and other subjects.
