The Master's degree in Translation is a professional Master's degree that carries 120 ECTS and has 3 specializations: conference translator, translator-editor and translator in the field of banking and business. For this Master's degree, English can be considered as a C language or a B language. A double Master's degree is delivered by the School of Translators and Interpreters of Beirut (ETIB) and by the Higher Institute of Interpreters and Translators (ISIT) of the Catholic University of Paris (ICP) within the framework of the double degree agreement signed on May 21, 2002 and renewed on March 30, 2018. For the 2019-2024 period, the Master's degree has been awarded the prestigious European label EMT (European Master's in Translation), awarded to a range of excellent programs in Europe. ETIB is the only academic institution outside Europe to obtain this label. CAT and localization training The Master's degree in Translation trains its students in the use of translation, translation project management and localization tools: Trados Studio, Multiterm, Phrase TMS, etc. ETIB is part of the Trados Academic Partner Program, which enables it to deliver Trados Studio Professional Certification and has free access to the academic version of Phrase TMS. This department has been granted free access to the Phrase TMS Academic Edition, an academic program designed for universities with translation courses.
