The 2019 CIUTI Conference was held in Melbourn, Australia, from June 3 to 6. More than 50 participants from the CIUTI members around the world participated in this important gathering. Under the main theme: “Bridging the divide between theory and practice”, participants studied how to lead innovative research and training as well as how to create and apply the best strategies in Translation and Interpretation studies. Alongside the conference, the Council and the General Assembly of CIUTI were held. ETIB is the first Lebanese School of Translation to be part of this pres­ti­gious inter­na­tional asso­ci­a­tion of uni­ver­sity insti­tutes with trans­la­tion and inter­pre­ta­tion pro­grams. Mem­ber­ship requires ful­fill­ment of strict qual­ity cri­te­ria and is a dis­tinct seal of qual­i­ty.
