Amel Association is a non-governmental organization established in 1979. Through its 24 centers across Lebanon, and its 6 medical Mobile Units, Amel Association provides access to health care services and implements development programs targeting underprivileged populations, regardless of their nationality or political and religious affiliations. Amel Association also aims to strengthen the culture of rights among citizens, refugees and migrants and promote access to their rights and their involvement in public life.
ASSIGNMENT
The Field Coordinator is based in Beirut with frequent field visits. He/She works under the direct supervision of the Program, Partnerships and Project Coordinators. He/She reports on the implementation of the activities. He/She contributes to the smooth implementation of activities in close coordination with the Medical Coordinators and with other agencies and local authorities.
TASKS AND DUTIES
Task #1/ Support the Centers in the field in the organization of activities
- Assess the needs and priorities of the targeted beneficiaries in coordination with the local staff and with the projet coordinator
- Support the local staff for the implementation of the project and referral to the HQ
- Ensure smooth implementation of activities in AMEL centers according to AMEL’s strategy and to the projects objectives
- Support and advice the Heads of centers in the organization of activities for the targeted population of AMEL.
Task #2/ Meetings/Trainings
- Attend weekly coordination meetings at Amel headquarters;
- Attend any relevant training organized by partners ;
- Develop and maintain a good working relation with the local authorities; lead local coordination meetings with the local actors
Task #3/ Monitoring and reporting
- Monitor daily the implementation of the different activities according to AMEL's strategy
- Conduct regular field visits to the targeted centers and manage operational issues within these centers
- Prepare and share with the Project Coordinator Field reports
- Support and advice the center’s staff in their preparation and submission of their weekly report
- Contribute to the project’s Technical Reporting
- Report to the Project Coordinators any problems in the implementation of the activities;
- Ensure the achievements of expected results of the activities according to the timeline and the budget established.
Other duties
- Mobilize community support and participation in the various community based activities;
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Experience required:
· 0 to 3 years
Education degree: Bachelor Degree Field of education: Bachelor degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Social work, Business Management, Humanitarian Affairs, International Relations, or other relevant field.
