It was a great pleasure for the Dean of our Business School, Prof. Fouad Zmokhol, to actively participate in the conference organized by AUST titled “AI Worst-Case Scenarios in Business and Business Education.” In his presentation, the Dean highlighted the 10 potential negative effects of AI on education: 1. Bias models; 2. Data privacy and security; 3. Reduced human interaction; 4. Unemployment; 5. Technology overdependence; 6. Increased costs; 7. Ethical issues; 8. Technical difficulties; 9. Lack of personalized feedback; 10. Accessibility concerns
He concluded that AI will not replace the need for human instructors; instead, it will provide an opportunity for a synergistic relationship between them and AI.
Thank you, Dean Nazareth Nicolian, a former colleague at our school, for organizing this conference.
