أقامت كلية العلوم الدينية في جامعة القديس يوسف في بيروت، بالشراكة مع Danmission، حفل توزيع الشهادات للتدريب على المواطنة الديمقراطية. وكرمت الكلية إنجازات 45 معلما ومعلمة من معلمي المدارس الذين أكملوا البرنامج التدريبي وعرضوا مشاريعهم التي تم تحقيقها مع طلاب المرحلة الثانوية.

حضر الحفل مدربون ومعلمون وباحثون من جامعة القديس يوسف، بالإضافة إلى مدير المرحلة الثانوية في وزارة التربية والتعليم العالي الأستاذ خالد فايد.

"نحن سعداء لإتاحة الفرصة لنا لجمع هذه المجموعة المتنوعة من الأفراد للاحتفال بإنجازاتهم في المواطنة الديمقراطية" ، قالت الدكتورة مارغريت الأسمر بو عون ، مديرة المشروع ومنسقة البرامج في قسم علوم الأديان في الجامعة. "هذا الحدث هو شهادة على قوة التعليم الديمقراطي وأهمية تعزيز المواطنة النشطة."

وشدد البروفيسور أبو جودة، نائب رئيس جامعة القديس يوسف وعميد كلية ألعلوم الدينية، على أن التعليم هو المفتاح لإطلاق إمكانات الأفراد والجماعات، وهو ضروري لتطوير القيم والمبادئ الديمقراطية. وأشار إلى أن التعليم الديمقراطي يساعد في تشكيل عقول مواطني المستقبل وإعدادهم للمشاركة في العملية الديمقراطية.

شاركت السيدة كيرستن أوكين ، المديرة الإقليمية ل Danmission ، رؤيتها حول أهمية المواطنة الديمقراطية من خلال اختبار بلدها الدانمرك. وأبرزت أن التعليم يلعب دورا حاسما في غرس القيم الديمقراطية مثل الحرية والمساواة والأخوة والعدالة، وهو ضروري لتطوير مجتمع ديمقراطي.

أكد البروفيسور دكاش، رئيس جامعة القديس يوسف، أن التعليم هو أقوى أداة لتطوير عملية المواطنة الديمقراطية. وشكر في كلمته أعضاء  الكلية و Danmission وتعاون الوزارة من اجل تنظيم هذا التدريب ، مسلطا الضوء على الدور الحاسم للتعليم في بناء لبنان.

وألقت السيدة رنا قيس كلمة الطلاب، معربة عن امتنانهم للتدريب المقدم. وأوضحت كيف أظهرت مشاريعهم فهمهم للمواطنة الديمقراطية والتزامهم بتعزيز هذه القيم في المدارس والمجتمعات.

وتضمن الحفل عرض فيديوهات وجوائز للمشاريع الفائزة، بالإضافة إلى منح شهادات لجميع معلمي المدارس المشاركين.

The Faculty of Religious Studies of Saint Joseph University of Beirut, in partnership with Danmission, hosted a certificate ceremony for the training in democratic citizenship. The event honored the achievements of 45 schoolteachers who completed the training program and presented their projects that have been realized with their secondary school students.

The event was attended by trainers, teachers, and researchers from the University of Saint Joseph, as well as the director of the secondary in the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MEHE), Mr. Khaled Fayed.

"We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to bring together such a diverse group of individuals to celebrate their achievements in democratic citizenship," said Dr. Marguerite El Asmar Bou Aoun, project holder, and program coordinator at the Department of Sciences of Religions of the University. "This event is a testament to the power of democratic education and the importance of promoting active citizenship."

Pr. Aboujaoudé, Vice-Rector of the University of Saint Joseph and Dean of the Faculty of Religious Studies, emphasized that education is the key to unlocking the potential of individuals and communities, and it is essential for the development of democratic values and principles. He noted that democratic education helps shape the minds of future citizens and prepares them to participate in the democratic process.

Mrs. Kirsten Auken, Regional Director of Danmission, shared her insights on the importance of democratic citizenship. She highlighted that education plays a crucial role in instilling democratic values such as freedom, equality, fraternity, and justice, and it is essential for the development of a democratic society.

Pr. Daccache, Rector of the University of Saint Joseph, emphasized that education is the most powerful tool for the development of the democratic citizenship process. He thanked the Faculty and Danmission for the organization of this training, highlighting the crucial role of education in the construction of Lebanon.

Mrs. Rana Kays delivered the students' speech, expressing their gratitude for the offered training. She explained how their projects demonstrated their understanding of democratic citizenship and their commitment to promoting these values in schools and communities.

The ceremony included the presentation of videos and prizes for the winning projects, as well as the awarding of certificates to all the participating schoolteachers.
