Mr. Berge Setrakian, a great patron, an FDSP alumni, and a loyal friend of USJ, organized on November 16, 2023, a dinner at the Benoit restaurant in New York in the presence of Professor Salim Daccache s.j., Rector of USJ. The event was attended by Dr. Christian Makary, President of the Federation of USJ Alumni Associations, and Cynthia-Maria Ghobril Andréa, Director of the Fondation USJ.

The dinner brought together Mr. and Mrs. Setrakian, Mr. John Ezzi, President of the Saint Joseph University Foundation, Beirut Inc., Mr. George Bitar, Mr. Habib Kayrouz, Dr. Paul Khoury, Dr. Sabet Hashim, Mr. and Mrs. Bechara Nammour, Mrs. Nada Salem, and Mrs. Nadine Kfoury.

Professor Salim Daccache s.j. described the current challenges facing the university and the urgent needs of underprivileged students. It was also an opportunity for him to discuss the launch of the USJ 150th-anniversary fundraising campaign under the slogan 'USJ Aspire for More' along Fondation USJ.

At the end of the dinner, Professor Salim Daccache s.j. honored Mr. Setrakian by awarding him the USJ 150th-anniversary medal as a token of appreciation for all his efforts and commitment to USJ. An emotional moment marked the evening, where all attendees left with a common desire to work for the new generations, laying the foundation for future collaboration in support of this noble cause.
