As part of the Community Support Program (CSP) in Lebanon, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and following the highly successful implementation of awareness campaigns, which included refresher meetings conducted by volunteers within their communities, as well as the collection of quantitative data from the sorting facility on recyclable practices, a Practice Sharing Forum was organized on July 28th, 2023. This event brought together mayors and representatives from the eighteen municipalities to showcase the remarkable achievements made by each village in implementing the awareness campaigns. The primary purpose was to share the outstanding results and outcomes of these campaigns.

At the conclusion of the meeting, three exceptional municipalities were awarded trophies in recognition of their outstanding performance, as determined by the quantitative analysis conducted by the CEEDD team. Amioun Municipality earned the first place, followed closely by Darbaachtar in second place, and Dhour El Hawa securing the third place.
