Hôtel-Dieu de France (HDF), Saint-Joseph University (USJ) Medical Center, was honored to host Her Excellency Mrs. Anne Grillo, Ambassador of France to Lebanon, at the Board of Directors meeting of the hospital on Wednesday July 7, 2021. She met with the Rector of the University and HDF officials. The ambassador was eager to learn about the hospital’s challenges in the midst of the ongoing healthcare, economic, and social crisis in Lebanon.

Several briefings on the medical, financial, and economic situation took place during the meeting, highlighting the plans that HDF is putting in place to meet the current challenges and fulfill its mission of providing care to patients, particularly those who no longer have access to social security benefits. A briefing on the fundraising campaign for the hospital and its future projects was also delivered.

At the end of the meeting, Her Excellency, thanked everyone for their work, especially health care professionals, and discussed the possibilities of helping the hospital in these difficult times, both in short and long term.
