Mental health Service Organization

At the end of this module the student will be able to: 1- Learn about history of mental health services, from asylum to community care 2- Use the pyramid of optimal mix of services for mental health to organize mental health services 3- Understand the core components of health systems 4- Design a wide range of evidence-based community mental health services ranging from integrating mental health into primary care and other sectors such as CP and GBV, to community mental health centers, day care and halfway houses aligned with Human Rights and using a system building approach 5- Understand the requirements for operationalizing community-based mental health services
