Center for Diagnosis, Therapy and Research in Psychomotor Therapy

The Center for Diagnosis, Therapy and Research in Psychomotor Therapy (CDSRP) is an integral part of the Institute of Psychomotor Therapy. It contributes to the institute’s clinical services, academic training, and research initiatives.
Clinically, CDSRP offers diagnostic and therapeutic services at reduced rates to serve society and the broader community. It welcomes patients of all ages and specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychomotor disorders. The Center also helps guide patients toward appropriate therapeutic care, medical consultations, and academic or professional support services based on their individual needs.
On the academic level, CDSRP serves as a training site for Master’s students, where a series of theoretical and practical courses are delivered by IPM instructors. These include parent interviews, multidisciplinary meetings, care protocols, diagnostic procedures, evaluation reports, and therapeutic techniques. This reflection and analysis process allows students to strengthen their professional practice in psychomotricity, strengthen their professional identity, and experience the impact of effective care.
In terms of research, the CDSRP team, in collaboration with the IT Office, has developed software that digitizes data collection and ensures traceability of clinical interventions for a wide range of complex cases. Using this data, instructors and students evaluate therapeutic techniques, validate intervention protocols, and test assessment tools. CDSRP specializes in:
• Motor rehabilitation through personalized cognitive-body approaches based on structured and individualized protocols and supported by AI tools such as virtual reality (Kinect Xbox) and Rehametrics program
• Handwriting analysis using digital tablets (Arabic script, bigraphism, and dysgraphia)
• Biofeedback applications (work-related stress, anxiety, writer’s cramp, generalized muscle tension)
• Rehabilitation using Motor Imagery Techniques (motor coordination, movement planning, etc.)
