Comparison of Aescin and Ibuprofen on pain, edema, and trismus after surgical lower wisdom tooth removal: A split mouth randomized controlled clinical trial.

Description :

The current study will be a split mouth controlled clinical trial where all the patients participating will have to present similar impacted mandibular third molars on both sides, and follow the inclusion criteria. Upon their acceptance, they will be administered either Iburpfen or Reparil following each intervention. They will be given a pain sheet score to rate their pain over the course of 7 days starting from the day of surgery. The facial swelling will be measured through specific measurements taken pre-operatively, 72 hours after surgery, and finally 7 days after the intervention. Likewise, their maximal mouth opening will be measured pre-operatively, 72 hours after the intervention, and finally 7 days after.
