Implant surface alteration following different decontamination methods: an in vitro study.

Description :

This study aims to compare the alteration of implant surfaces caused by three different decontamination techniques: titanium brush, low abrasive powder (erythritol), and high abrasive powder (sodium bicarbonate). The study will be carried out on 18 implants: 9 Straumann® Bone Level Tapered (BLT) implants (Straumann®, Switzerland) and 9 Full Osseotite® Tapered Certain implants (Zimmer Biomet Dental, U.S.A). Implants will be scanned using an SEM microscope pre- and post-decontamination to evaluate surface roughness.
