Lateral Sinus Floor Augmentation using Collagenated Xenogeneic Bone Blocks: a Radiographic, Histologic, and Histomorphometric Clinical Study

Description :

In this study, we propose to evaluate the performance and effectiveness of Collagenated Xenogeneic Bone Blocks (CXB) used in Sinus Floor Elevation (SFE) procedures. The total amount of vertical bone gain at 6 months will be measured. Also, the quantity of remaining xenogeneic particles will be determined. The quality of the obtained area will be assessed: percentage of new bone formation and its relationship with the xenogeneic particles. At 6 months, the possibility of implant placement (success rate of SFE) and implant stability will be appraised. Implant success rate and osseointegration will be evaluated 3 months later. The volumetric stability of the grafted region, amount of CXB resorption will be determined at 12 months.
