Ability of larger apical shaping and different irrigation protocols on bacterial reduction: an In-Vitro Study.

Description :

This study will evaluate the efficacy of larger apical diameters and the ability of different disinfection methods on increasing the bacterial reduction. This will be possible by taking teeth in vitro, inoculate bacteria in their root canals, then doing shaping with instruments having different diameter and taper, and doing different irrigation protocols in order to do a bacterial count at the end (CFU calculation) and comparing the results. The values cited in material and methods, and the equipment used are inspired from articles of Wajih eh al. (10), Mary et al. (11), Aydin et al. (12).
