Chantal Maatouk was born in 1979 in Beirut. She earned her bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Lebanese University, Faculty of Engineering, in 2004. Continuing her academic journey, she completed a PhD in Energetics and Processes at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris in 2008. Always eager for knowledge, she expanded her skills by obtaining a Business Advisor certificate in 2019.Chantal began her professional career in the field of research at the Center for Energetics and Processes at Mines-Paristech. Her passion and dedication led her to become the scientific manager in 2010. In 2013, she joined the Faculty of Engineering at the Saint Joseph University of Beirut as a lecturer and coordinator of the Master's program in renewable enery. In 2019, she was appointed associate professor.Chantal Maatouk teaches various courses at the engineering level, including thermodynamics, heat transfer, power production, introduction to renewable energies, and optimization of industrial processes. Her research activities focus on the study of thermodynamic systems, energy efficiency, storage in phase change materials, and renewable energies. She is recognized for her significant contributions in the field of renewable energies and industrial process optimization, bringing innovative solutions to current energy challenges.
