Rémi Daou is a professor at the Faculty of Engineering at Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ). He holds a PhD in Physics and Modeling of Complex Systems from the University of Aix Marseille I – France. He teaches geometric optics, electric circuits, propagation, electromagnetism, introduction to quantum physics and statistical thermodynamics and introduction to fluid mechanics in the preparatory classes department. His research work is essentially oriented towards the field of combustion, in particular he is interested in the dynamics of flames in reactive mixtures. His work combines both analytical approach and numerical modeling.
