Michele Kosremelli Asmar est Professeur, Fondatrice et Directrice de lInstitut Supérieur de Santé Publique (ISSP) de l'Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth depuis 2016. Elle est une chercheuse expérimentée en santé publique et titulaire d'un doctorat en gestion (concentration santé) de l'Université Paris Dauphine. , France, une maîtrise en administration de la santé de l'Université de Montréal, Canada, un diplôme d'études supérieures en santé institutionnelle de l'Université Concordia Canada et un baccalauréat en sciences de l'Université américaine de Beyrouth, Liban.

Michèle a plus de 30 ans d’expérience dans le contexte fragile et d’urgence du Liban, notamment dans le secteur de la santé. Elle a contribué en tant que membre au projet de réforme du secteur de la santé financé par l’UE dans les années 90. Elle possède une solide formation académique en enseignement et a été activement impliquée dans des projets de recherche avec différentes universités au Liban et à l'étranger.

Ses intérêts universitaires et de recherche sont liés à la santé publique, à la collaboration et à la coordination interprofessionnelles, au handicap et à l'inclusion, à la gestion de la santé, à la qualité et à l'accréditation, aux ressources humaines et aux systèmes et politiques de santé, aux partenariats public-privé pour la gouvernance et le renforcement des soins de santé et aux données de santé. Depuis quelques années, elle s'implique également dans des projets autour de la protection de l'enfance, de l'inclusion du handicap en milieu universitaire et des systèmes de santé dans des contextes fragiles. Elle parle couramment l'arabe, le français et l'anglais. Elle est également consultante et experte auprès d'ONG locales et internationales.

Elle a également coordonné le programme commun Université Paris Dauphine, IAE-Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne et USJ MBAIP-Health Management pendant 15 ans et co-dirigé des thèses de doctorat au Liban et à l'étranger. Elle siège aux conseils scientifiques et comités de lecture de plusieurs revues et conférences scientifiques nationales et internationales. Elle est aussi chercheur associée au LEMNA, Nantes, France et Professeur associée à l’ESPUM, Université de Montréal, Canada.

Michèle Kosremelli Asmar est également fondatrice et présidente de l'ONG Include, qui promeut l'inclusion des enfants, des jeunes et des adultes ayant des besoins particuliers dans la société libanaise. Include est le concepteur et instigateur du projet de formation inclusive pour les jeunes handicapés mentaux et intellectuels à l'Université Saint-Joseph de Beyrouth. Elle est également membre fondatrice et déléguée libanaise du Réseau arabe de collaboration interprofessionnelle (ANIC), qui fait partie d'Interprofessional Global, la Confédération mondiale pour la formation interprofessionnelle et la pratique collaborative.
