Khalil Amine
Hélou (Pharm.D., M.Sc., Ph.D.), Lebanese, born in Lebanon in 1956, is a
geopolitical analyst in several Lebanese and Arab media, including: Skynews
Arabic, Al Arabia, Al Hadass, Turkish Radio and Television (TRT Arabe), Al Shark
Saudi (Bloomberg), Al Mashhad-Dubai, BBC, MTV Lebanon, Radio Voix Du Liban
(VDL), Radio Liban Libre (RLL). Currently a teacher-researcher in geopolitics
at the Institute of Political Sciences at the Saint-Joseph University of Beirut
(USJ), and simultaneously director of the Nutrition department at the Faculty
of Pharmacy (USJ). Holder of a Doctorate in Pharmaceutical and Biological Sciences (USJ), his
thesis co-supervisor was Professor Jean-François Narbonne (University of
Bordeaux) with the theme of environmental and food toxicology. Also holds a
French State Diploma in Pharmacy from USJ in Beirut (1979), and a Master's
degree in Food Technology from the American University of Beirut (1983). Held
the following positions: Advisor to the Minister of Health, Chief Pharmacist of
the Central Military Hospital, Chief Pharmacist of the Central Military
Pharmacy, successively Chief Officer of the military medical services of North
Lebanon, Mount Lebanon, and the Medical Unit of the Presidency of the Lebanese
Republic. Former visiting professor in food geopolitics at Unilasalle
University – Beauvais (France). Has dozens of geopolitical analysis
publications on the online sites “Ici Beirut” and “Jusur Media”, and on several
other online sites in Lebanon, in Arabic and French. Also has several
publications in biological and toxicological sciences
