A committed researcher and university lecturer with more than fifteen years of experience in the field of olive growing and olive oil production. Established the department of olive and olive oil in a public research institute and successfully managed a research team. Responsible for the national collection of local olive varieties. Member of the group of chemistry Experts of the International Olive Council (IOC).

Researcher in olive and olive oil; Head of the department of olive and olive oil − Establish the department of olive and olive oil − Prepare the design, technical specifications, and materials of the laboratory of olive and olive oil including a specific laboratory for olive oil tasting − Manage all the instruments in the olive oil laboratory including GC-MS; GC-FID; and HPLC-DAD-FL. − Manage the collection of local olive varieties situated at LARI-Tyre station − Design and implement several research projects in the field of olive and olive oil − Collaborate with several national and international research centers and universities in conducting research activities − Participate in several research and development projects funded and/or implemented by international organizations − Participate in several international consortiums to draft proposals and apply for research funding grants − Work in close contact with the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture − Work in close contact with the Head of the Lebanese delegation at the IOC − Represent Lebanon in the international olive council (IOC) network of germplasm banks − Member in the committee of nurseries directed by the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture − Work in close contact with the Head of food standards division of the Lebanese Standards Institution (LIBNOR) to prepare and update the Lebanese standards of table olives and olive oil − Conduct extension and technical training sessions/seminars addressed to the farmers and technicians from public and private sectors − Participate in national and international scientific conferences.
