Flavia Khatounian received her diploma in Electrical Mechanical Engineering (2002) and the Masters degree in Electrical Engineering (2003) from Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ-ESIB), Lebanon, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) de Cachan, France, in 2007. She joined USJ-ESIB in 2008 where she currently is a full-time professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture and the Head of the Department of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Her research interests include power electronics and electric machines identification and control. She serves as a reviewer for high impact factor journals and international conferences and is a member of the IEEE and IEEE IES. She is the author or coauthor of 2 book chapters and over 50 scientific papers. She is also a member of the Order of Engineers & Architects (OEA) of Beirut.
