Aline Hajj is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Université Laval, since September 2022, a regular researcher at the CHU de Québec – Université Laval Research Center within the Oncology Research Axis. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) in 2005 her University Diploma in Clinical and Hospital Pharmacy in 2006 from Saint-Joseph University of Beirut (USJ), Lebanon. Holding two Masters degrees, she pursued her PhD in a joint program between USJ and the Faculty of Pharmacy at Paris Descartes University (2012). Named Laureate of the Faculty of Pharmacy of Paris Descartes in 2009 and selected as a finalist for the Franco-Lebanese Excellence Award in 2015, Dr. Hajj was an invited professor at the University of Minho (Braga, Portugal) in 2018 through the "Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility UMove" exchange program and at Universités de Paris from 2021 to 2024. In 2023, she was appointed as Global Lead for Development Goal 10 - Equity & Equality at the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP). She was also selected twice by the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO, in collaboration with the National Observatory for Women in Research (DAWReK’n), to represent Lebanese women scientists at the events “Dardacha Talks - for Science Detox” and “Unlocking Science.” With 17 years of experience in university teaching, her research at the Faculty of Pharmacy at USJ has focused on pharmacogenetics and clinical pharmacy to advance personalized pharmaceutical care (pain management, oncology, neuropsychiatry, chronodisruption). She is a member of the Institut National de Santé Publique, d’Épidémiologie Clinique et de Toxicologie-Liban (INSPECT-LB). In Quebec, she has joined the Michel-Sarrazin Research Team in Psychosocial Oncology and Palliative Care (ERMOS), the Quebec Research Network in Palliative and End-of-Life Care (RQSPAL), the Quebec Pain Research Network (QPRN), and the Cancer Research Center (CRC). She has served as a jury member for various institutions (CNRS, Cèdre, AUF, and the L’Oréal-UNESCO for Women in Science Levant Young Talents) in evaluating research projects and proposals. Lastly, she has co-authored over 110 publications in peer-reviewed international journals, contributed to 10 book chapters, and delivered more than 100 oral and poster presentations at national, regional, and international conferences.
