Marc Ibrahim received the engineering and master’s degrees from the Faculty of Engineering, Saint Joseph University of Beirut, in 2002 and 2004, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Versailles Saint-Quentin en Yvelines, France, in 2009. He is currently a full-professor and the Director of the National Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics, Saint Joseph University of Beirut, Lebanon. Marc Ibrahim is first and foremost a teacher who, after more than 20 years in academia, remains passionate about new technologies and computer engineering, as well as the transmission of their underlying concepts to new generations. He is also a researcher in the fields of telecommunications and computer science, with over 45 publications and several research projects under his belt. He is a member of the Internet Society in Lebanon and the Lebanese Multistakeholder Advisory Group, which work to improve internet governance in Lebanon. He is also a member of the strategic orientation commission for digital technology and artificial intelligence at USJ and frequently speaks on the topics of the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence His research interests include orbit wireless networks and particularly focus on radio resource management, LPWA technologies, performance modeling, and networks measurement.
