Sabah Saliba is a Certified professional in Clinical Psychology psychopathology, Educational Psychology, Mindful Life Counseling. Her professional experience spans over 30 years in clinical psychology and psychopathology, and university teaching. She has been a Senior Consultant and Trainer in various community organizations and educational institutions. Graduate of Université Saint-Joseph, Sabah Saliba has worked in many countries and places around the world. Her work has extended to places, populations, and stakeholders of very diversified nationalities, cultures, ethnicities, religious backgrounds, age groups, genders, sexual orientations and choices, and opposing philosophical and political views, among many others. This extensive and comprehensive global academic and professional experience empowered and equipped Sabah with a myriad of strong competencies, skills, knowledge, and abilities that allows her, with high distinction, to work across borders and perform pan countries and diversities. Moreover, Sabah is the founder and member of EMDR Lebanon Association, and a permanent member of EMDRIA, ISPA, AFTCC, Access MBCT. Many years of hard work and intensive experience made her master the following international psychology trends: Psychoanalysis, Cognitive and Behavior Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Brief Eclectic Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Positive psychology. She also managed to introduce and implement MBSR and MBCT programs to the MENA Region. Sabah’s academic experience features her deep academic involvement as responsible for teaching, training, and supervision in the Master Counseling Program at Université Saint-Joseph. Besides, she is a Consultant and Trainer at The Balamand University, Department of Community Engagement, where her work encompasses several subjects, various demographic and population cross-sections such as children, handicapped and persons with special needs and disabilities, landmine survivors, frontliners, elderlies, adults and children with mental health, trauma, etc. This is in addition to coaching and developing schemes of resilience, psychosocial support, mental wellbeing, self-care, career guidance, preventing and coping with bullying, surviving and confronting physical and emotional violence including micro-aggressions, etc. For more than 20 years so far, Sabah undertook and has been in charge of many major projects with prestigious organizations such as The Ministry of Education, The Ministry of Social Affairs, the UN (UNICEF, UNHCR, UNDP,UNRWA), IOCC, MECC, The World Bank, The Lebanese Army, among many others. Sabah Saliba believes that Psychotherapy is a pathway for growth and a secure itinerary to healing. It is an opportunity for persons to explore their own thoughts and feelings within a safe environment. She believes in eclectic and holistic approaches which take into consideration the whole physical, emotional, mental and spiritual dexterities and qualities of a person.
