Wafa Saoud is an assistant professor at Saint Joseph University of Beirut and an elder at the Presbyterian Church of Miniara-Akkar. She studied Pure Mathematics at the Lebanese University from 2004 to 2007 and completed her master’s degree in Applied Mathematics at Saint Joseph University of Beirut in 2008. She taught numerous mathematics courses at various Lebanese schools and universities from 2007 to 2023. Additionally, she has participated in several national and international workshops on leadership and interreligious understanding. Wafa firmly believes that “Education is a power that can change the world if it is well planned and organized.” She views her teaching career as an opportunity to positively influence the lives of young people. In 2018, she earned her Ph.D. degree in Applied Mathematics from Poitiers University in France, in collaboration with the Lebanese University. Her research focuses on the asymptotic behavior of solutions to dynamical systems, particularly on the global and exponential attractors of Cahn-Hilliard/Allen-Cahn systems. Since Fall 2021, Wafa has been working at Saint Joseph University of Beirut. She is also a member of the Educational and Pedagogical Affairs Committee of the National Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon. In her free time, she likes reading and hiking.
