Mr. Hadi Fakih is an instructor at Saint Joseph University (USJ) an occupational therapist with solid academic and clinical expertise in mental health. Specializing in community occupational therapy, Mr. Fakih is particularly committed to supporting vulnerable populations, including displaced persons, refugees, queer communities, and migrant domestic workers. Guided by the principles of occupational justice, his work integrates evidence-based practices and rigorous research methodologies to improve clinical outcomes and promote equitable access to healthcare. By applying trauma-informed care approaches and harm reduction practices, Mr. Fakih approaches his clinical and teaching work with empathy and adaptability. He also facilitates group sessions and provides individualized follow-up, particularly in the fields of mental health and pediatrics. Strongly committed to accessible, inclusive, and socially just occupational therapy, Mr. Fakih actively advocates for the capacity building, well-being and mobilizing of the most marginalized communities through a participatory and inclusive approach.
