Rania HACHEM SAAD graduated with a diploma in translation from ETIB (Saint Joseph University of Beirut) in 1994. She speaks Arabic, French, English Spanish fluently. She began her career as a translator immediately after her graduation, where she translated a number of books for Lebanese publishing houses and worked on a number of projects for Saint Joseph University, including translating 675 pages of Code Civil Dalloz for the faculty of law between 2002 and 2003. She collaborated with several global companies and law firms in Lebanon and the Arab world, in the field of translating specialized, legal and financial documents, as well as with several United Nations- affiliated organizations. She continues to practice freelance translation to this day. As for her teaching career, it began in 1995 as an Arabic teacher to non-native speakers. In 1999 she started teaching translation at the Language and Translation Center, Lebanese University, until 2008. She then moved to the Holy Spirit University, Kaslik to teach translation, and later to the University of Balamand. In 2019, she returned to CREA, Saint Joseph University, where she has been teaching Arabic to non-native speakers and to students from various faculties at the university to this day.
