Dr. Chalouhy is a urologist transplant surgeon, he specializes in the treatment of urological malignancies minimally invasive surgery performing complex reconstructive surgeries including transplant patients. After earning his Doctor of Medicine at St Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon in 2010, Dr. Chalouhy completed his urology residency at Hotel Dieu de France Hospital in Beirut. In 2014, He then moved to the United States to continue his medical training, completing a fellowship in multi-organ abdominal transplant surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in 2016 and a fellowship in advanced robotic and laparoscopic urologic surgery at Einstein in 2018. He later earned his Master of Science in biological and medical science at Saint Joseph University in Beirut in 2021. Dr. Chalouhy’s research focuses on preserving renal function in multiple kidney disease and cancers. He also worked on introducing minimally invasive surgery and robotics in pioneer transplant surgery. His works also include funded translational research for maintaining sexual function while treating patients with prostate disease. His work has been shared through numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations and he is the author of novel chapter in Campbell walsh, reference book for urologists. Dr. Chalouhy is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, the American Endourological Society and the American Urological Association, among others. Dr Chalouhy is an associate professor at Albert Einstein college of Medicine, He has great contributions to Undergraduate medical education since 2021. In 2017, he received the Recognition Award for the surgical training of urology residents and inspiration to the urology residency program of Montefiore. He also received the Outstanding Achievement Award in the teaching of medical students from Einstein. He is fluent in French, Arabic and English.
