Since 2015, she has been teaching at Saint Joseph University in Beirut has held various administrative responsibilities, including as Academic Director of the Doctoral Studies Cycle at the Faculty of Religious Sciences, Coordinator of the Caravan Program for the Study of the Historical and Religious Reality of the Middle East, Editorial Secretary of the journal Proche-Orient Chrétien (POC), Deputy Director of the journal Fi-Rihab el Hiwar (suspended in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic), and Editor-in-Chief of the journal Horizons et Conjonctures published by the Faculty of Religious Sciences. She currently teaches Philosophy, Research Methodology and Fundamental and Professional Ethics (the latter in different faculties of USJ). Dr. Iskandar Hawat regularly publishes scientific articles in international journals and is invited each year to give lectures at European universities. She is fluent in Arabic, French, English and Italian, and has studied German, Greek, Syriac and Hebrew.
